Rallies against Gov. Bruce Rauner are nothing new, but protesters in Chicago took it one step further and targeted one of Rauner's political donors.
More than a hundred protesters occupied the lobby of Morningstar, an investment firm headed by Joe Mansueto, a billionaire who donated more than $200,000 to Rauner's campaign.
Mansueto is also a major donor to the Illinoisans for Growth and Opportunity independent expenditure committee, a group which claims to support Democrats but has several close ties to Rauner, including Mansueto.

Toby Chow, co-chair of Fair Economy Illinois, led the march to Mansueto's office.
"A man who is using his great wealth to support Rauner's small government extremist policies. Are you ready to visit this rich man?" Chow asked the crowd.
Chicago police gave the protesters several warnings to leave the lobby. Six chose to remain and were ticketed for trespassing.
