Prosecutors in the case against former Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. (pictured) are asking for permission to take control of his two homes. Jackson is facing jail time for stealing nearly 750-thousand dollars from his campaign treasury. The 48-year-old and his wife, Sandi, own a home on East 72nd Street, as well as a property in the DuPont Circle area of Washington, DC.
According to the "Chicago Tribune," a judge will decide whether to approve a process which would allow the federal government to take both properties. Sandi Jackson is under fire for failing to report about 600-thousand dollars in income to the IRS. Both Jacksons will be sentenced on Wednesday.
