The Madison County Sheriff is encouraging you to take part in the National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday. The program encourages anyone with old or unused prescription medications to turn them in at a designated site. The Drug Enforcement Administration estimates more than 7-million Americans abuse prescription drugs.
There will be several locations around the region and around the nation participating. Madison County Sheriff John Lakin tells The Big Z they are involved because there are too many pills getting in the wrong hands.
