The Nature Institute is hosting another of its popular "Prairie Walks" today on the North Side of Gordon Moore Park. The walks give participants the chance for a guided tour through the restored natural area while identifying native plants, birds and insects. Hikers are advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, binoculars, and and a plant identification book is available.
The Nature Institute's Education Director Patti Brown says tonight's walk will feature a talk by Dr. Patrick Dailey, professor of biology and entomology.
The walks are held every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:30. There is no cost to attend, and no need to RSVP. Brown says parking is plentiful.
