Police from around Illinois will be on the lookout for drivers breaking the law as we head into the Independence Day holiday weekend, which can prove to be a dangerous one on the highways. Law enforcement agencies across the state are teaming up to crack down on the various offenses considered the "Fatal Four."
Illinois State Police Trooper Heath Bryan says in addition to the seat belt issue, speeding, drunk driving and distracted driving is being targeted.

Statistics show that every hour someone dies in America because they are not wearing their seatbelt. Bryan says the State Police will, in some cases, be teaming with local law enforcement to patrol area highways.
