In local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, Alton Police are investigating a possible theft of money from the Off Track Betting facility at Mac's Time Out Lounge in downtown Alton.  The theft was reported to Alton authorities on July 4 by an official from Fairmount Park Race Track, who told police they were missing more than 14-thousand dollars from a safe at the OTB facility operated by Fairmount.  The money was part of 20-thousand dollars that was to be used to pay out on Kentucky Derby winnings.  

The Madison County Sheriff's Department reports the arrest of several young people after deputies responded to the report of a loud party in the 400 block of West Rosedale in East Alton early Sunday morning.  Police report they spoke to the homeowners who said their children had some friends over.  The children were identified as 26 year old Ashley Tite and 22 year old Jordan Tite both of the 300 block of West Rosedale.  They were charged with permitting a violation of the liquor control act for allegedly allowing minors and several juveniles to consume alcohol on the property.  Six minors were also found at or nearby the residence and cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor: 18 year old Jeremy Cook of the 100 block of East Acton in Wood River, 18 year old Seth Ingram of the 400 block of Missouri in South Roxana, 20 year old Jessica Carr of the 100 block of Grand in Wood River, 20 year old Alyssa Siemer of the 300 block of Saturn in Godfrey, 19 year old Nathan Fay of the first block of Willow Court in Bethalto, and 19 year old Dionte Granger of the 600 block of Cherry in Alton.  

East Alton Police this morning were holding 49 year old Craig Saathoff of the 400 block of Hamilton in Wood River on an outstanding warrant.  21 year old Timothy Anderson of the 100 block of Illinois in East Alton, held for felony domestic battery.  56 year old Darrell Sanders of the 500 block of Washington in East Alton held for felony domestic battery.
