Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, the Madison County Sheriff's Department reports the following recent arrests: 32 year old Terrance Mohr of the 300 block of St. Anthony Drive in Godfrey for unlawful possession of a stolen license plate, driving while license revoked, and no insurance. 27 year old Christopher Cherry of the 700 block of Alby Street in Alton and 22 year old Kelsey Proffer of the 800 block of Meadow Drive in Cottage Hills, held for theft over $500 for allegedly attempting to steal items from a home in the 600 block of Brookwood Drive in East Alton. Police report at the time of the alleged crime, Proffer's two year old child was with her. 56 year old Anthony Brown of the 2300 block of Powhatten in Alton, arrested for driving while license revoked. 34 year old Damien Brown of the 1300 block of Sir Galahad Lane arrested for burglary for allegedly stealing a hot water heater, furnace and exterior central air unit from an unoccupied home on Sir Galahad, and also removing larger items from a home under construction in the 3700 block of Culp Lane in Bethalto.
Alton Police were investigating the report of another vehicle break-in on the parking lot of a local business. This time, the burglary occurred on the parking lot of Farm and Home Supply on the Homer Adams Parkway in the late afternoon. The suspect broke out a back window of a vehicle and stole a cell phone and children's CD's.
East Alton Police were holding 46 year old Valerie Fritz of the 14-thousand block of Route 138 in Gillespie for failure to appear domestic battery. 29 year old Amy Rives of the 1300 block of 9th in Cottage Hills, held for possession of a controlled substance and possession of hypodermic needles.
Wood River Police were holding 29 year old Lloyd Saathoff of the 800 block of Townhouse in Hazelwood MO for failure to appear retail theft. 31 year old John Moore of the 600 block of Edlawn in Wood River for DUI.
