Checking local police reports provided this morning Z-1570, the Madison County Sheriff's Office that an Alton man has been charged with felony aggravated battery and one misdemeanor count of aggravated assault. 50-year old Ronald M. Singleton of 1320 of Central Avenue was arrested Tuesday after allegedly yelling profanities at customers at the Quik Trip located in the 2800 block of Godfrey road. Authorities say Singleton approached a deputy in a threatening manner before pushing the deputy in the chest. He was taken into custody at the scene and is being held at the Madison County Jail on $70,000.
The sheriff's office also reports charges have been filed against sixteen individuals who were arrested after police broke up a party involving suspected underage drinking in the 6530 block of Godfrey Road on Tuesday night. 19-year old Zachary J. Moxey of Godrey, 20-year old Hunter A. Ryan of O'Fallon, Mo, and 18-year old Grant D. Starke of Wentzville, Mo have been charged with obstructing a peace officer after allegedly ignoring commands from a deputy to stop as they fled from the scene on foot.
20-year old Quinton R. Argent of Godfrey, 19-year old Cameron J. Crouthers of Godfrey, 19-year old Jordan A. Pratte of Godfrey, 19-year Alexander P. Lay of Edwardsville, 18-year Elliot F. Miller of St. Charles, Mo, 19-year old Jacob B. Miller of Red Bud, IL, 19-year old Lance B. Smith of Godfrey, 19-year old Evan A. Stoll of St. Peters, Mo., 19-year old Casey R. Thomason of Lake St. Louis, Mo., 19-year Kourtney A. Pinkeron of Bethalto, 20-year old Sadie J. Lupercio of East Alton, 20-year old Jennifer C. Morris of Florissant, Mo., and 20-year old Sarah J. Spencer of Alton were each arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.
