South Roxana Police have filed charges against a man they believe robbed the town's Casey's store at knifepoint. Police say 53-year-old Kevin D. Shelby of the 100 block of Sinclair Avenue in South Roxana entered the store at about 2:30am on Saturday brandishing a knife, telling the clerk he would go over the counter if she did not turn over money.
The clerk locked herself in the office and called 911. South Roxana Police Chief Bob Coles tells The Big Z the public was a big help in identifying Shelby, who is not currently in custody.
