Thirty-five protesters were arrested after more than a hundred demonstrators tried to shut down part of I-70 near Ferguson. Authorities say most of the protesters on Wednesday were taken into custody for blocking on-ramps near the highway. Four people were arrested for throwing rocks and bottles at police.
At one point, the police outnumbered the protestors until a rainstorm sent most people to their cars or back home. Demonstrators say they were upset over Missouri Governor Jay Nixon's decision not to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teen shot to death by a Ferguson police officer last month.
