The Great Rivers Land Trust has been working to clean up the Piasa Harbor for much of the past five years, and the director of the organization would like for you to stop by and see what they have done. In addition to cleaning up what he calls the junk that was left behind by the previous owners, they have embarked on restoration efforts meant to make the land more appealing to the natural wildlife that inhabits the Mississippi River.
Alley Ringhausen is Executive Director of the Great Rivers Land Trust, which owns Piasa Harbor. He tells The Big Z their 55 acres offer a variety of options for the curious.

Ringhausen says over the years since they bought the property, the area has been cleaned up into more of a park-like setting. He invites the public to enjoy nature at their spot on the river.
