Gov. Pat Quinn says before he’ll take a look at a gambling bill, there must be movement on public pension reform. Quinn says pension reform must remain the top priority for lawmakers as the session winds down. “I’ve said and will continue to day here and everywhere else that there can be no really advance on gaming and all that unless we do public pension reform,” Quinn said.

Quinn also reminds lawmakers that any gambling expansion bill must provide proper oversight of a Chicago casino. He says the Illinois Gaming Board would provide the proper oversight that would get him closer to supporting a gambling expansion bill.
