Students in the Alton School District came together at the request of the Drug Free Alton Coalition for the second annual Youth Speak Out. She says there are already a number of youth-related activities in the Alton area, including the 5th Quarter parties that the coalition hosts a couple of times each year following Alton High Football games, and youth dances at the Riverbender center on 3rd Street. Some youth said they were unaware these opportunities existed before hearing of them at the forum.
