The City of Alton and Heartlands Conservancy will be asking for more feedback about the need to upgrade parks and green space in the city this afternoon during an open house event at City Hall. No formal presentation will be given, but those who attend will be able to view a preliminary plan, ask questions and give their input on the future of Alton's parks.
Heartlands Conservancy Sustainability Coordinator, Stephen Ibendahl says that all feedback is welcome, but they do have a specific issue they'd like to discuss with residents.
Ibendahl says they will take the feedback from the two open houses and put together a final plan that will presented to the Park and Recreation Department sometime in October.
Today's open house will take place from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Alton City Hall building.
