School bullying is a growing concern among parents in Illinois and across the nation. Illinois officials are bringing in internationally renowned bullying expert Rosalind Wiseman to help shed light on the issue. She was at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville last night, addressing educators about creating a culture of dignity in schools.
Wiseman also spoke to students at Alton High School and Alton Middle School earlier in the day. Madison County Regional Superintendant of Schools Robert Daiber says schools across the U.S. are seeing very tragic results.
The idea is to help bring awareness and bridge the gap between parents and educators. Wiseman will also speak at several other locations across the state this month, including Chicago, Rockford, Bloomington, and Carbondale.
