The Alton Amphitheater will close up its fifth year of operation with a free concert next Monday by the Oak Ridge Boys. The SIUE Jazz Quartet will also perform and there will be fireworks to cap off the evening. The show begins October 14 at 5pm with the Quartet, followed by the Oak Ridge Boys at around 6:00, then fireworks around 7:30.

There will also be a video highlight of Alton and Alton Steel during the evening. Tickets are available at the Alton Visitor Center at the corner of Piasa Street and Broadway on a first come, first serve basis and each person can receive four complimentary tickets until they are gone. If you are not one of the 2,500 or so people that get into the Amphitheater, you can still see the show via a 360 stage that will feature a jumbotron. Gates open at 4:30pm on Monday.
