Frerichs says the bill allows “treatment methods to be used to protect and prevent further damage to ash and elm trees from invasive species,” Frerichs said.  Jeff Dixon, a spokesman for Aborjet, says there are things people don’t think about when removing a tree. “You lose having the beauty of the tree, the savings in the heating and cooling bills,” Dixon said.S.B. 1589 has passed the Senate Agriculture and Conservation Committee.
