Schools throughout the Riverbend have cell phone policies in place, offering guidelines as to when and where they can be used. Some have a no tolerance policy, but one local high school is about to loosen the rules for the second semester.
The Bethalto School Board this week approved an updated cell phone policy for Civic Memorial High School. Superintendent Charles Stegall says these changes will loosen up the rules a little.

Stegall says the policy is being rolled out now so administrators can see how the changes work, and make any additional changes over the summer before the fall semester begins.
