Madison County residents with physical limitations will see a new improvement at the Madison County Administration Building. Treasurer Kurt Prenzler's office recently modified its counter space. It now has the standard counter that has been in place for years, as well as a lower counter and desk space that is 12 inches lower.
Cathy Contarino, Executive Director of IMPACT CIL, an Alton-based agency which assists people with disabilities, says this will be of benefit to many.
She says the office took the initiative to make these changes, and contacted Impact CIL after the work was done. Contarino says they did an excellent job.
