The United Way of Greater St. Louis and Shop N' Save are teaming up with the local chapters of the National Association of Letter Carriers for the 21st annual Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive. This Saturday, May 11, mail carriers throughout the area will be picking up donations to help supply food pantries in Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Green, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, Randolph and St. Clair Counties.
That's United Way Communications Associate Natasha Sakovich. She says that last year's food drive helped create more than 591,500 meals for people in the Greater St. Louis Area. Sakovich says they are looking for any canned good but are in need of items like soups, peanut butter and any nonperishable that can be considered a complete meal.
