The largest fundraiser of the year for the Alton branch of the NAACP is coming up in a little more than a month, on May 4.  This is the 45th year for the Freedom Fund Banquet, which will be held at 6pm at the Alton Holiday Inn.  This year's theme is "Fulfilling the Dream through Education."

Organization President James Gray (pictured) says this is the single most important fundraiser of the year, with proceeds going to support its various programs.  One of those programs is the "C" Average Scholarship Program.
