A time frame on when the state will be sending money it owes to local units of government has not been set, but local mayors are eagerly awaiting the funds to be cut loose. A bill the governor signed Monday releases more than three-billion-dollars. Of that, Alton Mayor Brant Walker tells The Big Z they are owed about one-million dollars.
