A published report suggests the death of a Fox Lake Police officer earlier this month is now being investigated as a possible homicide or suicide. The “Chicago Tribune” says authorities are taking a look at all possibilities in the case that was first investigated as the murder of a police officer.
Fox Lake Police Lieutenant Charles Joseph Gliniewicz was reportedly pursuing three suspects two weeks ago but was then found shot to death a short time later. A large manhunt in the days following his death did not result in any leads or suspects. Federal authorities have reportedly pulled out of the investigation and local police say they are considering all theories but are still leaning toward a homicide.
