The Alton Police Department is currently holding two people following an incident at Macy's and JC Penny's at the Alton Square Mall. 26-year-old Tiffany Ann Griggs of the 1st Block of Gary Ct. in St Charles, Missouri is in custody for Felony Retail Theft for allegedly attempting to shoplift more than $450 worth of merchandise from Macy's and and is also held on the charge of Fugitive from Justice on a Warrant for the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 

 

 

44-year-old Roberto Lee Taylor of the 5000 Block of Lake Dr. in East St. Louis is also in custody following the incident for Retail Theft for allegedly attempting to shoplift from JC Penny's. He is also being held for Battery for resisting a loss prevention officer, and on a Warrant for Parole Violation. Police say around $145 worth of merchandise was recovered from Taylor inside the mall.

 

 

 

The Wood River Police Department is currently holding the following in custody:

 41-year-old Joshua T Owens of Bethalto in custody for Theft Under $500, 36-year-old Misty L. Owens of Bethalto also in custody for Theft Under $500, and 20-year-old Dennon R. King of St. Louis is being held on a Wood River Failure To Appear Warrant on the original charge of Speeding.
