The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed the lower lanes of U.S. 67 from the Clark Bridge to Highway 94 in St. Charles County. Water is overtaking the roadway, so MoDOT spokesman Shonda White tells The Big Z the closure will mean you will need to find another way into Missouri for the foreseeable future.

White says as of now, there are no plans to re-route southbound traffic onto the northbound lanes, as they sometimes do during extended flooding events. However, Alton city officials say MoDot could revisit that decision as the flooding continues.
