This year's homeless outreach program called Project Homeless Connect has come and gone in Madison County, and organizers say they would have liked to have seen more people take advantage of the services provided. This year's event was held in Madison. While the data has not yet been compiled, it would appear they served about as many homeless people as they did last year.
David Harrison, the Homeless Services Manager for Madison County Community Development, tells The Big Z he understands not all homeless people have the ability to travel.

Transportation was provided to and from the event. He says those who attended were able to receive food, beverages and clothing. Participating agencies also provided medical exams, and legal services.
