IDOT has announced the timeline for the reopening of the MLK Jr. Bridge in East St. Louis. The department has released that the tentative date for reopening will be the week of December 21st, weather permitting. She says the contractor still needs to go back and remove scaffolding and other minor cleanup work to wrap up the project. The work is not expected to affect traffic once the bridge is reopened. The remaining work will be done during the evening and on weekends.
