The Godfrey Fire Department is planning a mass casualty drill this Saturday morning. At about 9am, the drill will simulate a full sized school bus crash. Afterwards, the fire department will complete school bus extraction training.
All of the action will happen at Bowers Towing on Godfrey Road, according to Godfrey Fire Chief Eric Kambarian.

Their peers from the Brighton – Betsy Ann and QEM Fire Protection Districts, Alton Memorial and Lifestar Ambulance services, and EMS evaluators, will join Godfrey firefighters. Kambarian also hopes to include the Madison County Sheriff’s Department in the drill, having the dispatchers page it out over the county communications system as if it were happening in real time, assuming they are not already dealing with a high call volume.
