A patent infringement lawsuit is filed by an Illinois man who wants to take his fight over a ketchup invention to court. The "Chicago Tribune" says Scott White of Chicago is suing H.J. Heinz Company over its alleged theft of his invention for a specially-designed single-serving packet of ketchup.
White says he filed his patent application in 2005 for something called a CondiCup which he contends Heinz swiped to make its "Dip and Squeeze" packets. Heinz has denounced the allegation that it stole the idea and the company says it successfully won a similar lawsuit earlier this year.
