Another Meth case has been resolved in federal court in East St. Louis.   45-year-old Arthur C. Hawkes of Granite City has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for his role in a Methamphetamine case.  Hawkes was sentenced last Friday to 36 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute Meth in a case from April of last year.

Authorities say Hawkes admitted in a change of plea hearing that he was in possession of two ounces of Meth on April 19, 2015 in Granite City.   The drug was discovered on his person during a search of Hawkes following an arrest on multiple traffic violations.  Police say the Meth had a street value of $1,000.   The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Granite City Police Department brought the case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
