A Highland man has pleaded guilty to several charges in federal court related to child pornography.  55 year old Richard Hogg entered the plea to the five count indictment on Monday and will be held without bond until he is sentenced in April.

The possible sentence faced by Hogg varies depending on the charge, but he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.  Hogg pled guilty to distribution of child pornography, receipt of child pornography, access with intent to view child pornography, and possession of prepubescent child pornography.  Authorities say an FBI investigation revealed Hogg possessed dozens of videos and over 12-hundred photos depicting child pornography.  He also admitted to chatting on-line with a girl he thought was under the age of 16.  The case was prosecuted under the Project Safe Childhood initiative that has battled child sexual exploitation since 2006.
