A Godfrey man is being held in the Madison County Jail on charges he illegally videotaped healthcare workers who were inside his home. 32-year-old Jeremy Foster of the 300 block of Venus Drive was arrested on Tuesday after police discovered the alleged activity.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department reports it opened an investigation on Tuesday that Foster allegedly placed the video camera inside a restroom in his home. He is accused of videotaping several home healthcare workers who were at his residence caring for another person who had no knowledge of the alleged crime. Foster was taken into custody and police say they have so far found three different people who had been videotaped while in the restroom. It is against Illinois law to knowingly make a video record without a person’s consent while a person is in a restroom, tanning bed, tanning salon, locker room, changing room or hotel bedroom. Foster is charged with unlawful video recording and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
