The Madison County Sheriff and Police Chiefs from Madison county are continuing to take part in the "RX 4 Safety" prescription drug initiative. The initiative is a collective effort, between the community and law enforcement to protect the environment from improper disposal of medications.
Madison County Police Chiefs have collected over 1,500 pounds of prescription and over-the-counter medications in this third round of drop offs. Citizens with unwanted medications do not have to wait for a specific day to get rid of these pills. Secure drop off bins are available 24 hours a day at local police stations.
