The owner of Big Jim's Autorama in Madison, Il, has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for his involvement in a large stolen property ring. 59 year old James D. Litchfield, and his brother 37 year old Ryan P. Litchfield were indicted for receiving goods they knew to be obtained through fraud. The indictment alleges that Jason J. Parmeley, formerly of O'Fallon, Missouri, used the internet to steal credit card account numbers, then used those numbers to purchase big ticket items from retail stores. The Litchfield brothers have both pled guilty to receiving property they knew to be obtained from fraud. James Litchfield was sentenced to 3 years in prison, while Ryan Litchfield was sentenced to 1 year and 1 day. The court found that the brothers accepted nearly $230,000 worth of fraudulent goods. In addition to the Litchfield brothers, 12 other people have been charged in this fraud scheme.
