Attorney General Lisa Madigan is getting another month to decide whether to appeal the concealed carry ruling.  The U.S. Supreme Court has granted her request to push the deadline back to July 22nd.

It’s the second extension the court has given her. Madigan wants the extra time because she isn’t sure what Governor Quinn plans to do with the concealed carry bill on his desk.  He has until July 9th to either sign or veto the bill.

In the meantime, four counties have already decided to let residents carry guns in public so long as they have a valid FOID card and they’re carrying for self-defense.
