If the trees near you are dropping their limbs these days, there’s a reason for it.    It’s actually a phenomenon: what they call ‘summer limb drop syndrome,’ and anyone can look that up on the Internet,”says Mike Dirksen, the arborist for the city of Springfield. “It’s a legitimate process that a tree goes through to try to balance its moisture needs with the drought and the dryness.”
