Classes begin Monday atLewis & ClarkCommunity College, but there is still no collective bargaining agreement with the teacher's union. They are coming off a five year contract with a one year extension. Negotiations with the college and the Lewis & Clark Faculty Association has been ongoing since March. College President Dr. Dale Chapman says he feels both sides are getting closer.
The next meeting with a federal mediator isn't scheduled until August 26, four days after the start of classes. He says it's all systems go for the start of the fall semester, and it looks like enrollment is up again.
