Lawmakers are heading back to the capital city this week. There are still several issues on the table for them to deal with as they wrap up work for the year. Senate President John Cullerton says they'll take a vote on a revised version of the gaming proposal. The updated plan will not include slots at fairgrounds.

They'll also consider a measure to pay the state's regional superintendents with local funds. Lawmakers still haven't announced plans on how they can give Governor Quinn more money to keep seven state facilities open. This will likely be one of the major issues before lawmakers next week, otherwise Quinn says he'll move forward with his plan to layoff more than 19-hundred state workers.
