A number of elected officials from both sides of the political aisle came together Friday to honor a deceased lawmaker. U.S. Senator Alan Dixon died in 2014, about 20 years after retiring from politics. The Visitor Control Center has been named in his honor following yesterday's ceremony.
One of those on hand for the ceremony was Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner.
