The Madison County Coroner's Jury says the death of a 3 month old in South Roxana in November was a homicide. Callie Pride died as the result of an overlay situation, according to information released by the Madison County Coroner's Office. It is not known yet if charges will be filed through the State's Attorney's office.
The South Roxana Police Department learned the child's father, Jeremy W. Pride, had been sleeping with the child. When the mother awoke, she is said to have found her daughter under the father and unresponsive. The child was pronounced dead at 7:17 Sunday morning, November 13 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
