Illinoisans can find out who's living in their neighborhood by checking out the state's Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth registry. It requires those who were incarcerated for first degree murder to register in a database for ten years after they're released. The law just went into effect this year and already 528 people are on the list.

Some say it's not fair for the offenders to have to register since they've already served their time but many of their victims appreciate the idea of having a way to track them.
