Work is scheduled to begin Monday on parts of a couple of state highways in Grafton. IDOT will be repairing Illinois 100 between Ski Lift Road and Vine Street, and Illinois Route 3 between Grafton Hills Road and Illinois 100. You should expect some delays if traveling through the area.
The work will take place daily from 6am - 8:30pm. IDOT Engineer John Adcock tells The Big Z they will be microsurfacing the pavement.

Another project impacting travel to Grafton is the Illinois Route 3 project that begins at Route 109, sometimes referred to as the back way into Grafton. Adcock says they were hampered by rain last winter, but hopes to get caught up in the coming months, wrapping up in the summer of 2017.
