This year's 40th Annual Alton Fall Historic House Tour is Sunday, October 14, and there are many returning attractions, and one house that has never been on the tour before. The tour is expected to bring in visitors from around the area and both sides of the Mississippi River to see the historic spots around town.
The tour is sponsored by the Alton Area Landmarks Association, and Association member Monica Mason says you can check out the numerous sites on the tour from noon-5pm on Sunday, October 14th, including the Levis Mansion on Danforth Street. This is the first home from the Fairmont Subdivision to ever appear on the tour.
Tickets are $12 per person, and are available the day of the tour at the Visitor's Center, the Hart House at 524 Belle Street, and at the corner of 4th and Henry streets. Advance tickets can be purchased at the CVB beginning October 6. For more information, call 465-6676, or follow the link: http://www.altonlandmarks.org/
