You are being urged to work on lowering your blood presure.  The Illinois Department of Public Health reminds a normal blood pressure reading is 120 over 80, while a high reading would be 140 over 90 and higher.  Public health spokesperson Sabrina Miller says having high blood pressure puts people at risk for other problems.

Miller comments

Eating right, keeping your weight in check, exercising, and not smoking can all help to lower your blood pressure, as can reducing your sodium intake.
