St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto is proposing a tax levy for the coming fiscal year that will increase in some areas but decline in others. It could prove to be a confusing process, so the Airport Manager has planned a hearing for next Monday afternoon at which time you can ask questions and have your opinion heard.
David Miller tells The Big Z the proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes represent a 25% increase over the current levy, but the property tax levy for debt service and public building commission leases will decline by more than 16%.
