A recently launched telescope “checkout” program is already expanding. The Hayner Public Library District has come together with a couple of local astronomy organizations to buy the telescopes. Beginning next month, there will be opportunities each month to use the equipment in a group setting.

In addition, library patrons age eighteen-years or older with a valid library card are able to check out a telescope for seven days. The telescope “checkout” program was made possible through a number of monetary donations and the work of Eddie Agha, who hosts the astronomy club meetings at TNI.
