Harvest Season is in full swing as we hear in the weekly crop report. 24 percent of corn has now been harvested, a big jump over the previous week. The condition of the crop declined slightly to 83% in good to excellent condition.
State Crop Statistician Mark Schleusener says the soybean harvest began and is now 6% done.

Twelve percent of sorghum has been harvested, and one percent of winter wheat has been planted. Average statewide topsoil moisture is now rated at one percent very short, four percent short, 84% adequate, and 11% surplus.
