There is a new fundraiser making its debut this Saturday. From 8am - 2pm at the former St. Patrick's School and Alton Day Care - at 1004 East 5th Street in Alton, you can browse the vendor tables and support the Alton Habitat for Humanity chapter at its first "Attics, Closets and Crafts" sale.
There is also a special item made by a group of young men and women in the Youthbuild program offered at Lewis & Clark Community College - an 8' x 8' playhouse.
Habitat Board President Val Harris says the actual drawing will be December 8 at the Alton Band and Orchestra Builders' Craft Fair. Harris says items available for sale Saturday include prom and formal dresses; women’s clothing and a large assortment of purses; numerous baby items, including clothing and toys; dishes, electronics and more. In addition, a variety of local crafters and vendors will have products for purchase. Some of the product lines present will be Thirty-One, Kitcheneez, Avon and Origami Owl. Light snacks and beverages will also be available for purchase throughout the day.
