An East Alton woman will spend 8 years in jail after pleading guilty to possession of meth. 24-year-old Kristine Patterson of the 600 block of Washington Avenue entered the plea yesterday to the lesser charges after she was initially charged with aggravated unlawful meth manufacturing.
Authorities had filed the charges after police went to her home last April to check on her children and found the meth making operation. They don’t believe Patterson was actually making the drug, but was at the home at the time the drug was manufactured. A man she was living with at the time, 37 year old Matthew Delaney pleaded guilty to a Class X felony in connection with the case and was sentenced to 10 years in jail.
