A St. Louis man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and of concealment of a homicidal death in connection with the death of a woman from St. Louis whose body was dumped in Bethalto in January of 2013. 48-year-old Raamon Victor Reed killed 44-year-old Tabatha Milton-Rush of St. Louis. Someone walking their dog near 255 discovered her body.
Investigators believe Milton-Rush was shot to death at another location and her body dumped just off the highway, across from the Bethalto sports complex. Police from several jurisdictions were called to the scene when the body was discovered near the southbound lanes. The Major Case Squad investigated the murder. Authorities said Reed and Milton-Rush had a previous dating history. Reed will be sentenced at a later date. Prosecutors will seek a sentence of 40 years.
